
DEANNE ESMAEEL / Director Of Photography
Deanna Esmaeel is a Cinematographer and a Digital Imaging
Technician with a wide variety of projects (Feature Films, Short Films,
Commercials, TV Pilots, Music Videos, Documentaries and Industrials)
completed over the past several years. She has worked as a DP for Universal
Pictures, the History Channel , the U.S. Coast Guard, and shot commercials
and industrials for Chevrolet, Toyota, Jaguar Motorcars, and a Royal
Wedding for the Sheikh of Qatar.
Deanna specializes in High Definition. Her project “This Girl’s Life”,
(Cannes Film Festival 2004, which she engineered and shot 2nd Unit), shot on
the Panasonic Varicam, received praise in the Hollywood Reporter and Variety,
as being the “best example of High Definition looking like film”.
She is experienced with Blue and Green Screen shooting and lighting for Compositing
and Virtual Compositing, ENG and Cinestyle shooting.
She has written papers and articles for HD Magazine, and is sponsored by Canon
Broadcast and featured in their advertising.
Deanna is also a member of IATSE Camera Guild Local 600, and Film Independent.
